why do you love working at Puzzle Pieces and doing the work you do
Working at Puzzle Pieces allows me the opportunity to work with children and those that support them to encourage learning, growth, development of communication and self-expression skills, acceptance, curiosity, connection, confidence, and so much more! I find that meeting each child where they are at and identifying goals that allow them to access their strengths can allow for creation of a lifestyle that is meaningful to them.
explain what you do at Puzzle Pieces
At Puzzle Pieces, I am a mental health clinician. Being a mental health clinician means that I have the honor of providing individualized clinical care to children that is formulated through an adaptive and connection based lens and that is inclusive of collaboration with other figures of support! Additionally, it means that I am able to create and honor a space that promotes comfort, safety, play, and expression.
what do you like doing outside of work
Outside of work, I enjoy going for runs, reading, spending time with family, swimming in the summer, and skiing in the winter. I am also a dog-lover; while I do not currently have one of my own, I love meeting new four legged friends when I am out and about!
