why do you love working at Puzzle Pieces and doing the work you do
I love working at Puzzle Pieces because I believe that the best way to support children is to also support their family. It is so meaningful to be able to form trusting relationships with families and being trusted to work with their child. I love being able to make a difference in people’s lives and to help grow into the best version of themselves that they can be!
explain what you do at Puzzle Pieces
I prioritize facilitating autonomy for my clients and helping support the growth of their self confidence through child-led play therapy, where they have the ability to choose what we do in session. In my work, I primarily use dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to share skills and tools that they can utilize for the rest of their lives. Through integrating CBT and DBT skills into play, children can learn helpful tools in managing their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while engaging in fun and creative activities!
what do you like doing outside of work
Outside of work, I love reading, watching TV, running, and doing arts and crafts! Some of my favorite crafts include scrapbooking, painting, and sketching.
