why do you love working at Puzzle Pieces and doing the work you do

I am passionate about the work that I do as it fosters a space where clients can feel heard and seen through play. No matter how their week may go, I strive to give them our session time to be fully themselves and have one person be fully in their corner. This work allows creativity to be the lens into what makes each child special and unique. I enjoy using different art therapy prompts to allow communication in indirect ways while keeping the sessions fun and approachable for all ages.

explain what you do at Puzzle Pieces

I am a mental health clinician guided by play and art based therapy. I partner with clients to meet them where they are at, and allow them to guide the session to what they may need in that moment. I may model behaviors or alter my body expressions to co-regulate during sessions to be attentive to any sensory or environmental sensitivities.

I can be seen playing, drawing, dancing, and singing alongside clients to foster the most important part of a therapeutic intervention – the relationship between clinician and client!

what do you like doing outside of work

I enjoy spending time outside especially with the people I love! I can often be found engaging in various movement activities from walking to running to yoga, especially along the Charles River or beach. I ground myself by cooking new dinner recipes and baking treats for friends. In my free time I also love to bake sourdough loaves and care for my plants!
